This was an extra special and fun weekend for us…  First of all, it’s been awhile since I (Torri) have been in an English speaking country…  So it was nice to be able to talk to everyone and catch up!  We both loved teaching alongside a top-notch staff: Kyle & Sarah and Maxence & Virginie!  The show on Saturday night was one of the best Lead & Follow nights we have been a part of in awhile… Each couple was truly an inspiration in their own way and we were so honored to be a part of it!!

Lee & Fab did a wonderful job with the organization and making sure we were taken care of at all times!  They decided to have levels on the classes with auditions, and we think it really worked…  It made all the classes completely different and easy to mold the classes to each level’s wants and needs! 🙂  Great job guys on the organization of the workshops! We really loved it!

The incredible Emeline was our main DJ of the weekend…. Taking care of almost every competition and absolutely rocking it!!  Her late night music is equally as great and we really enjoyed her music all weekend!  This was the first time I had experienced Sarah being a chief judge, and she was awesome (as expected!)  Not only did she organize the competitions and make sure they ran smoothly, she also organized the whole event to get on the floor and do the hot new dance you have probably heard of to “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” !!!!

SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!

We really loved everything about MSO…. Especially the Stella Cidre 😉

This was a really quick weekend for us!  Took a train to Paris early Saturday morning, and back in Lyon Sunday night.  Quick, but wonderful!!  We felt that we had a great amount of time with each of the levels, and really had the chance to get serious and break down a lot of key elements of this dance!  My favorite part of the weekend was definitely the “Lady Touch” styling class!!!  The girls were all quick learners and picked up the movements very easily.  It was fun for me to create the little combination for the class, and I hope all the ladies had fun doing the combination with me!!

The party on Saturday night was fun for us to be able to dance with a lot of the people from the classes, and also people who just came out to hang at the dance… We did a casual little impro for the people at the party… to one of our favorite songs “Regular Girl” by T-Pain……

WOW!!!  What to say about this event???  From the moment we arrived in Sao Paulo, we felt the love from everyone!

We were lucky enough to have some free time on this trip, and got to explore Sao Paulo with our good friends PJ and Tashina, as well as our tour guides Jessica, Vanessa and Gabi. 😉  What a fun and relaxing day….even though it was raining!  After our day off, we all went to the amazing Zouk club called Carioca!  What an experience!!  Maxime and I have never really officially learned how to do Zouk…but we can pretend!!  We had an awesome time going between dancing Zouk and West Coast Swing with all our new Brazilian friends!

The next day was the start of the event….and we were so excited to be a part of the first professional courses, along with John and Jessica, offered with the intention of helping the instructors of Brazil learn how we approach teaching and handling classes!  Everyone was so engaged and so receptive to all we had to share 🙂  We really loved the atmosphere of the classes and hope we can be involved in the same sort of thing next year to help continue the growth here!

The rest of the weekend all ran very smoothly….thanks to everyone involved with making the event happen!

We had a couple more workshops, judged some divisions, danced a social demo in the professional show, but our favorite part was dancing the night away with everyone!!  Brazil has so many amazing and talented dancers, it made the night slip away from us because we were having so much fun!!  The love we felt from everyone at the event was unreal… and we are SOOOOOO happy that we will be coming back next year!!!!!!!
